Matrix and Treats--Not so much as a bang but a whimper... that's how The Matrix trilogy ends. Although I was disappointed to see such a high-flying, mind-blowing concept tackled in a down-and-dirty, action-movie manner this third time around, I still felt a sense of closure upon leaving the viewing theater because I was happy that the Brothers Wachowski had gotten to finish what they started. (Also, it's not as horrible as what George Lucas has been doing with his Star Wars franchise.) They made their choice on how to wrap things up; it's your choice whether to watch it or not.

Blankets--I bought this original graphic novel on a whim, and I was very happy I did. Author/artist Craig Thompson's excellent rendition of his autobiography from the melding of words and images to the imparting of his innermost thoughts makes for a fascinating sometimes heart-rending read. Check out the reviews and a preview.
