New artwork: Wow, the site kept sucking cum... er... succumbing to Geocities's bandwidth quotas during the last week of April as it went over 28,000 page views for the month. Well, I can't let such a wonderful behavior go unrewarded, can I? I've added 10 new images to the Fantasy album and 8 new images at the AP/AR album at The 'O' Zone, and both feature a few requests from you guys. Hope you enjoy.

Stories I'm reading:

"Pat [Tillman] isn't with God. He's fucking dead. He wasn't religious. So thank you for your thoughts, but he's fucking dead."--Though he may have been distraught or drunk at the time (or so the local media has tried to portray him), at least Pat's youngest brother, Rich, had the cajones to say what he really thought rather than echo the sanctimonious sentimentality from those who never knew who the man behind the hero really was. His brother did his job and paid the ultimate price as did the other soldiers who have died in the line of duty. [c/o Fark.com]

How Ahmed Chalabi conned the neocons--A definite must-read. Salon

Times Magazine failure of intelligence?

The problem wasn't with the intelligence. The problem was with the Bush administration. It didn't like the intelligence it got. [...] So it ordered up some new intelligence.

Let's not allow the Bush administration's rewriting of this important bit of history to stand. The fiasco of the missing WMDs was not primarily a failure of intelligence; it was a failure of presidential management and leadership. Such failures are all too common in an administration that stubbornly -- even "catastrophically" -- refuses to recalibrate its preconceptions when they get bruised by reality.
