New story: Now and Then by zulator (body swap)
Robots in the skies--Growing up as a Transformers fanboy (I owned a bunch of 'em starting with a couple of Diaclones and even drew a comic book starring my own rip-offs, I mean, homages), I was very wary of director Michael Bay pissing all over my childhood with all the changes he put in (he retained the voice of Optimus Prime, to his credit), but I came out rather enjoying this frenetic kinetic flick unapologetic about its summer blockbuster-ness. Shia LaBeouf provided the heart and hearty laughs, and ILM delivered some CG-eye-popping animation. I just had problems with the robot designs being on the flimsy side and the camera jerking around like crazy during the action sequences. Now to see if I can get myself a DVD of Transformers: The Movie or should I say, still the movie.
