Wealth: When Will The 98% Tell The 2%, Enough Is Enough?
Private capital tends to become concentrated in few hands, partly because of competition among the capitalists, and partly because technological development and the increasing division of labor encourage the formation of larger units of production at the expense of the smaller ones. The result of these developments is an oligarchy of private capital the enormous power of which cannot be effectively checked even by a democratically organized political society. This is true since the members of legislative bodies are selected by political parties, largely financed or otherwise influenced by private capitalists who, for all practical purposes, separate the electorate from the legislature. The consequence is that the representatives of the people do not in fact sufficiently protect the interests of the underprivileged sections of the population. Moreover, under existing conditions, private capitalists inevitably control, directly or indirectly, the main sources of information (press, radio, education). It is thus extremely difficult, and indeed in most cases quite impossible, for the individual citizen to come to objective conclusions and to make intelligent use of his political rights.

New stories: One of the best things that had come out from visiting a chat room here and there was meeting guys from the "old days", before the time Yahoo bought eGroups (yup, that long ago), and a couple of weeks ago I met for the first time one of my favorite hypnosis authors who happens to be an excellent hypnotist, PutU2Sleep, who has graciously given me permission to archive his stories on my site.

New stories: The 8th Anniversary weekend concludes. These ought to keep you guys busy for the next few days.
Wish I had something more prepared for the site's 8th Anniversary though I've managed to keep things chugging along these past few months. Considering how close this site to shutting 4 years ago, I'm quite surprised to see it still around today, and so I'd like to thank Pride Sites and CYOC for their many years of hosting the stories and art, my contributors for sharing their wonderful talent and giving me a reason post updates, and you--my dear readers and visitors--for your invaluable feedback and support. Here's to hopefully more years to come.
