From Salon

"We Republicans have allowed this shared agenda to become secondary to the agenda of Christian conservatives."

Batman Begins--I'll just cut to the chase: This is the best comic book movie adapation I've had the pleasure of watching. From the depth of storytelling of David S. Goyer (Blade II), the choice of cast from Christian Bale (Equilibrium) to Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby), to the over-all respect of the material shown by director Christopher Nolan (Memento), this masterpiece not only successfully resurrects Batman from the movie hell Joel Schumacher consigned him to, but it also elevates the superhero genre to new heights. The onus now rests on Bryan Singer (whom I haven't forgiven for leaving X-Men) to give Superman a much-needed lift of his own.
