New stores by John D., muscl4life and Redkage

New stories:

Jolly good show, aar matey--As someone who found Dead Man's Chest a tad strung out, I very much enjoyed At World's End mostly for tying up loose ends albeit in a rather complicated knot of plots (Salon). Nevertheless, it was the whole yarn of fun with Geoffrey Rush and Johnny Depp leading the fray. (And that Tom Hollander is so cute.) If Disney does decide to continue the franchise, I suggest they thread carefully and spin it off as this particular band of pirates' tale has been told. (By the way, don't leave the theater until after the credits are through.)

New stories:

Shrek the Turd--Damn, I really had high hopes of getting the good laughs considering how much I enjoyed Shrek 2, but alas, the third time was the chump. Sure, the movie gave me some giggles (especially that Snow White scene), but its story wasn't anywhere as smart as its predecessors. Chris Miller's directorial debut was a dud.

Fracture--It's hard for me to imagine this movie stars the same Ryan Gosling from Young Hercules, a show I never expected anyone to break out from. (Remember Ian Bohen? I didn't.) Being nominated for an Oscar for Half Nelson and now holding his own against Oscar-winner Sir Anthony Hopkins, he's grown quite a lot as an actor (and a hottie!) since the last time I watched him in Murder by Numbers. Now I have to check out his movies I've missed. Salon

New story: The Bulldawg Maker by AbsMan420

Happy Mother's Day

New story: It took a couple more months longer than I expected, but now I can finally announce the inclusion of one of my favorite authors evar, AbsMan420, to the site. Maybe I'll get to finish drawing the rest of Pollination: The Comic Book. (Don't I wish.) Read The Bulldawg Maker.

New stories:

The Fountain--Thought to self upon leaving the theater: That. Was. Fucked. Up. Don't get me wrong, the visuals were amazing, Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz were great (as was seeing My Name is Earl's Ethan "Randy" Suplee as a frickin' doctor), and the story wrapped itself up admirably, but... man... what a head trip. I want whatever writer/director Darren Aronofsky was smokin' when he made this film.

New stories by BBMSN, John D. and muscl4life.

New stories: Over the next few weeks, I hope to bring online the entire musclegrowth story collections of BBMSN, John D. and muscl4life whom I'd like to welcome into the fold. In the meantime, let's start with these:

New morph: Getting a good night's rest.

Spider-Man 3--Sometimes there's nothing better than months of anticipation ending in a very satisfying culmination. I really hope the gang sticks around for at least one more flick, but with this movie already busting all previous budget records, it'd be interesting to see how the cast and crew's contract renegotiations will turn out.
