New stories:

300--This is one movie I wish I've been able to watch on IMAX and have all those hard rippling bodies wash over me. Now that I've bought the DVD, I wish I had a 50" plasma screen at home where I can see it in all its glory over and over again. Oh well, if wishes were horses, then those Spartans would be hung-like-wishes. :D

New story: Inner Demon by Redkage

The Simpsons Movie--That was the most fun I've had watching a flick in a long, long time. It was practically a-laugh-a-minute. They pulled out all the stops and kept things rolling along right up until the end where you'll appreciate just how talented Dan Castellaneta, Harry Shearer, Hank Azaria and the rest of the vocal cast really are in this 18-year-old cultural phenomenon.

Happy 5th Anniversary! New contributors: Allen Giffen, Iainlthr and Kyle Leach

For this forthcoming fortnight, I'll be celebrating my site's fifth anniversary. I'd like to thank Pride Sites for their excellent support and service, and--I know I keep saying this because it can never be said enough--I'd like to thank those who send feedback to the contributors without whose works this site wouldn't be as fun to visit. (Heck, it's not like I've done anything new myself lately.)

Stories I'm Re-reading: Please welcome 3 of my favorite authors--Allen Giffen, Iainlthr, and Kyle Leach--into the fold.

New story: The Right Way To Do It by figmentbear

New story: The Right Way To Do It by figmentbear (ap ar)

Yippee ki-yay mother-daughter--For many years until my betamax copy gave up, watching Die Hard had been part of my Christmas tradition, and now thanks to my revitalized interest, I just might start it all over again if I can find a DVD of it and possibly of Die Hard 2. (I didn't take to Die Hard 3 too well so I'll skip that.) Bruce Wilis plays a world-weary and weathered John McClaine and pairs up with a youthful every-geek Justin "I'm a Mac" Long (whom I liked best in Galaxy Quest) against Timothy Olyphant whose distractingly handsome countenance was too reminiscent of Ryan Seacrest's. All in all, it was two hours of brainless, almost mind-numbing, explosive fun. Salon
